  • Not awesome, but brutal as hell!

I thought Rob Zombie's re-visioning of the original Halloween was highly entertaining and truly the work of a fan. Halloween 2 puts all of that aside and just goes straight for the scares/shocks! I've seen every horror film ever made and this ranks as one of the most brutal and violent, so I loved it. Michael's body goes missing and two years after the last film we find him headed towards Haddonfield just in time for Halloween. Lori is living with Annie and Sheriff Brakin while they all deal with the physical and emotional scars remaining from Michael's last visit. The only one that looks like he made good on the horrors of that Halloween is Dr.Loomis (the always awesome Malcolm McDowell) who's new book sheds light on a little too much for some survivors. The murders are all memorable ...

  • What Was Rob Zombie Thinking Here!

I was VERY disappointed with this movie. I am a HUGE Rob Zombie fan and absolutely loved his remake of the first HALLOWEEN (one of my all-time favorites), but this was just hard to watch! I'm not sure what he was thinking when he wrote this. There really isn't much of a plot. It was very confusing with all of the "flash backs". I guess he really wanted to find a way to get his real life wife Sherri Moon Zombie (who was killed off in the first Halloween) back into this film. Another thing that really bothered meabout this movie is that young Michael Myers was played by a totally different person. Daeg Faerch, who played young Micheal in the first remake of Halloween was perfect for the part. I was really looking forward to seeing him here in Halloween II. To be ...

  • Inside the head of Michael Myers

I loved the direction of this film. It's very violent. There's a tactile, visceral quality to Rob Zombie films and this one is no exception. Some scenes, you can literally feel in your flesh! Also, I really liked the psychological aspect of getting inside the head of Michael Myers. I've never seen that done before and it works very well. Disturbing to say the least. When I first heard that Michael would be shown without his mask in this I moaned. I cringed at the idea but I have to admit, he's just as scary without the mask as he is with it. This is so compelling as it's incredibly difficult to come up with new ideas in a slasher series that's what 7 or 8 films into the series. Some people who only appreciate cheap gimmicks and jump scares in horror movies may not fully appreciate the ...

  • My favorite Rob Zombie film

I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a Rob Zombie fan, but I like the guy. For better worse he always makes visually interesting films. I really like his take on the first Halloween, but this was something else entirely. Grindhouse meets arthouse. Glad I got the Blu-ray. Loved the look, shot on Super 16mm film.

  • Not good at all

The story is terrible. Rob zombie must have been flying high when he made this one.
