About this product

Product Information

Travis Touchdown is the name, slicing and dicing is his game. No More Heroes is a stylishly violent combat game in the sardonic spirit of films like Kill Bill. Players must take out ten rival killers, with names like Death Metal, Dr. Peace, and Destroyman, and their hellish henchmen before they "intercept" Touchdown. While Touchdown's primary attack is an upgradeable beam katana blade, he is also schooled in grapple moves made popular by professional wrestling. In between assassination attempts, players can relax in Touchdown's interactive motel room (where he can play with his cat, watch wrestling videos, or save progress by sitting on the toilet).

Players can also work a number of side jobs to earn extra spending money. Mowing lawns, collecting coconuts, and other offbeat occupations are available as mini-games, each taking advantage of the system's motion-sensing controls. The action takes place within the fictitious city of Santa Destroy, home to a video store, baseball stadium, burger joint, gym, pizza parlor, and other hangouts. Players will travel from target to target on a massive motorcycle that can perform wheelies, jumps, and pavement-scorching turbo boosts. Directed by Goichi Suda, best known for Killer7 on GameCube and Contact on DS, the M-rated No More Heroes features a distinctive cel-shaded visual style.

Seller was good and product (2 1/16" pool balls) were as advertised. Shipment was 5 days quicker as well. So, all positive with the Seller. Too bad there are so many extra fees with e-bay and few options to pick up the product from the seller. I always look at other used purchasing options (before e-bay) for this reason

One of the greatest M rated Wii Games

A very fun and raunchy Wii hack n slash game that is fun almost throughout, except when doing forced side missions

  • Unforgetable Game

This was a game that i have wished to play in a long time. It got great reviews from all over the place so I've decided to try it myself. Starting with the graphics. They are cel shaded style so the game got an art feeling wich gives him an unique touch. But they could be a little better. The gameplay is great! Hack and slash action of the best you can find and with a little touch of the wiimote which I think that could have more use. Lot's of gore(in the ntsc version because pal is censored)helps give the action more rush. Now for the story. You play as an assassin which in a rank battle turned up to become the 11th best of america's assassin association and as so he entered a no way out way. Now with the help of a sexy french assistant you have to make your way through the ranks to ...

  • Fun, but flawed, game that oozes style and charisma.

3.5 Stars really. No More Heroes (NMH) oozes style at every turn, but there are some signifigant flaws holding it back. The most frustrating part of the game is having to drive across the whole damn map all the time - it can take a good minute or so to get where you need to go - especially at first when the city is big and foreign. I beat the game with ~13 hours played - but I bet 4 of those hours were spent driving back and forth. It really feels like padding. Similarly frustrating - failing a mission (there are a number of optional "one-hit and you lose" missions) and when you fail them, you can't start over. Likewise failing other jobs/missions means you have to drive back to the source and then turn around right back to where you were to try again. Money is very grindy too - ...

  • No More Heroes - Wii

I am a fan of action games. This made me a little hesitant to buy a Wii, which is more geared to family type games. Titles like No More Heroes give me hope for the system. The gameplay of this game is ridiculously enjoyable. Unlike some sword wielding Wii games, you do not frantically wave the remote to execute attacks. Careful button pressing combined with Wii remote movement death blows make this game great fun without becoming boring or old quickly. The graphics on this game are a little lacking, which is the only thing holding it back from an "Excellent" rating. The lack of graphical depth did not hinder the game experience. A word of caution: this game is not for the young or squeamish. After you kill an enemy, blood squirts in all directions. If you do not want grotesque ...

  • No More Heroes

Excellent soundtrack. The not-so-serious story and retro-gaming elements in the game are relayed well in the games' main themes. Replayability - Yes I will be playing this again although I have completed it twice. Too short? Maybe. Were there more to do in the actionless 'world' map; this wouldn't be a negative comment. Crappy side-jobs? Hardly 'entertainment.' Wii controls respond well. PAL-censored. Watch a youtube video of the NTSC version prepare for the shock. Though not a fan of "bloody" games - it fits SO well in this game and its' EU removal was a big mistake by Suda 51. All-round? A one-of-a-kind game you will not regret playing. So much more could have been done however. And I'm sure 90% of others will say exactly the same thing. Buy it.
