About this product

Product Information

This 3D platform puzzle game is based on the DreamWorks film of the same title and release time. Players take control of four unlikely animal companions: Alex, the brave lion; Marty, the idealistic zebra; Melman, the hypochondriac giraffe; and Gloria, the heavyweight hippo. The animals have joined forces to try to escape from their current confinement in the Central Park Zoo. Each creature has a special skill, and finding the best use for these abilities can be the key to making it through each zoo-based level. The animals abilities become more powerful as players progress, and between-level mini-games feature supporting characters from the film, such as the penguins and the lemurs.

    2005 Fun

    There's not much to say because it is a rudimentary movie game back from 2005. However it holds a place in my heart because it was a game during my childhood along with the movie I use to watch all the time. I was around 7-8 when this came out and I use to play it all the time. Would recommend it for kids, but obviously for adults its a no. Unless you played it as a kid like me, and just want to get some nostalgia for a few hours.

    Madagascar for Xbox

    This purchase was actually made by my 7 year old son using my account. He had this game already, but due to too many scratches, it no longer played properly. His decision to purchase this particular item was made because it was the exact item he wanted at the exact price he hoped to find it. This game is quite fun and appropriate for younger children. Many levels and multiple characters make it a good mental challenge. Throughout the game you can earn coins and spend them in the store so there is an added mental benefit. Violence is minimal.

    Good Game

    This game has all of the characters from the movie & tries to go along the story line from escaping the zoo to the city onto the ship and so on. Once you get to the wild it goes in some different directions. I originally bought this for my 4 year old son but I find myself playing it right along side of him from time to time and we have a blast. watch out for hidden treasures and hidden games along the way. Only one little downside is that this game is only 1 player.

    Games for grandkids

    We really like the game it is easy for children to understand and easy to use. It also helps them learn and it is very funny. Even we enjoyed it. We bought the game for our four older grandchildren and they love it.
