The handrail mount bends that area, when tension is placed on the cables. Typical bare minimum construction. Only Pennies were saved in this design, would never purchase again. Secondly, many of the base trims, would not slide down the posts, without scratching the finish. The ID hole was smaller than the outside dims of the post tube. Cheap overseas products, with no quality control.

It was obviously not new as advertised as there was no damage to the wrapping yet there were 2 gouges on the tray about 18" long. I will say that seller is in the process of working with me but thus far not to my satisfaction.
