One of the most loved bands in rock history, as well as one of the most commercially successful-with 50 hit songs in the U.S. alone, 18 gold records, a Grammy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame-Chicago have maintained the unflagging devotion of millions of devoted fans throughout their 37-year career. Begun with the goal of incorporating the diverse musical range of their hometown Chicago, and incorporating the big-band aesthetic that included horns which had been virtually left behind in the world of rock and roll, Chicago went on to create a sound that remains unparalleled in rock music. Incorporating rock as only one genre among the many that they drew from, the band courageously rejected the trappings of celebrity in order for the music to stand on its own. This DVD documents a live show that was broadcast on PBS in June of 2003 where they play many of their hits from throughout their long career, including "25 or Six to Four," "You're the Inspiration," "Saturday in the Park," and "Beginnings," among many others.

Any disappoint is not seller's fault - I had forgotten that most of these telenovelas on discs are really chopped up due to massive editing. Also no captioning. "Y muy caros también"! So, seller description was good, packaging great, shipping time excellent. Seller's part in our transaction was exceptional - for my part, estoy un poco triste. :-(

    Very Good Concert of Chicago

    I bought this DVD because I am a long time fan of the band Chicago. I have the Chicago Live By Request DVD, and I wanted another show on DVD. This Soundstage DVD is a very good show. The camera work is excellent. The song selection is great. My only complaint about this show is the sound, and it is a minor complaint. The concert sound is amazing. The problem is with Keith's guitar sound. The guitar volume is considerably lower than the rest of the volume. If it were not for this minor problem, this DVD would receive an excellent rating. If you don't have a DVD of Chicago, you will not be disappointed with this one.

    my boyfriend enjoy a lot, he got so excited I LOVE IT

    I bought this because my boyfriend is a fan and he got so happy every time I found anything from Chicago. we are hispanic people and we group with this music, we are from different countries but about Chicago we are just one person for love and enjoy the music and letters of the songs. Believe is nothing more romantic and perfect for be with my boyfriend when Chicago is on our room.

    it different

    i played this dvd very good picture and sound it plays just about all their favoret songs but at a very tone down version for a light group of people the pbs version is diffrent from the org. if you like it lite

    Good video but poor editing

    Unfortunately the poor editing of this video is a constant distraction from watching a great group perform some of their best songs. Although the sound quality and video quality are singularly good, the sound does not fully match the video!! It seems off by a second or two. Additionally, the words appear on the screen and many times they are wrong or spelled wrong.
