    Good for beginners, good indian dance steps

    My friends and I were looking at a non-boring way to try to lose weight, especially once all the kids will now go to school. Dance seemed to be the best option. I have already learnt some Indian dances, and was hoping to find some new steps, but my friends needed the beginners sessions, so for them, this was the best dance tape that they could get. Unfortunately for me, the beginning is a bit tedious. Honey Kalaria has explained every dance step, from showing the hand movements, to body movements to leg movements, very clearly. Her dance movements, once learnt, I feel, will help lose weight, and will help someone who wants to learn to dance, move more gracefully. And towards the end of the tape, if the steps are followed thoroughly, the person watching and practising can actually feel like ...

    Fantastic!

    I really don't understand why this dvd has gotten such bad reviews. I wasn't going to get it because it seemed like the worst liked of the (very few) bollywood vids in the U.S.. I LOVED IT!! I took someone's advice - replay parts a lot and also, perform do-able parts, adding new parts as you repeat the video, ie; keep doing the arms and just step in place instead of adding the feet, the first few times you go through the vid.

    Bollywood Workout

    Great video makes for a really good easy to understand and fun work out. This video is great, its upbeet the music is great and every step is explained. It makes you sweat those pounds off, I was not able to finish the workout until the fourth time I had watched it.

    A good resource

    I teach exercise classes and was looking for some ideas for doing a Bollywood dance aerobics class. This DVD gives me enough material and ideas that I feel confident that after some practice and experimentation I will be able to lead a Bollywood style aerobics class.

    Honey Kalaria's Bollywood Workout (2003, DVD)

    Please don't waste your time or money! It's pathetic that just anyone can make an excersice video. This is cheesy, boring and not at all what you will be expecting.
