NOT just another Pirates movie!
You may see this title while you are eBay browsing, roll your eyes and continue. You should know before you write this movie off completely, a little about what makes it so GOOD! The good points: POTI features LANCE HENRIKSEN as Long John Silver! Now Long John is not your stereotypical character in this film. He is rude, saying things like: 'May a cucumber-fish fly out of my arse'and dies as a good/bad scoundrel at the end. The movie has a mild Pirates of the Caribbean overtone, but nothing that makes it a complete rip-off. It is in it's own right one of the most unique spins on a piece of classic literature, that I have ever seen! It is funny, stylish and leaves you with a smile after you turn the DVD player off! Pirates of Treasure Island (DVD, 2006)
Very low budget movie with low quality acting. The actors in the movie do not sell the 17th century setting. The story line is okay, but never really gets you pulled in. It reminded me of a High School film project. It is a fair movie for a rainy day when nothing else is on television.

don't expect much
acting was sub-par, plot was non-existent, the ending was god awful and seemed to be written by a 12 year old boy. the only cool thing about this film was lance henriksen.

I love leigh scott films
So I like leigh scott films because they are so well done for what they have to go on, it relies more on legit acting than SFX..
