About this product

Product Information

"The inside story of a single Brooklyn gang that killed more Americans than the Iraqi army."--Mike McAlary, columnist, New York Post They were the DeMeo gang--the most deadly hit men in organized crime. Their Mafia higher-ups came to know, use, and ultimately fear them as the Murder Machine. They killed for profit and for pleasure, following cold-blooded plans and wild whims, from the mean streets of New York to the Florida Gold Coast, and from coast to coast. Now complete with personal revelations of one of the key players, this is the savage story that leaves no corpse unturned in its terrifying telling. INCLUDES PHOTOGRAPHS

  • Murder Machine by Gene Mustain & Jerry Capeci

The book is interesting reading. My main problem with the book is that much of the information is provided by a mafia associate (not a made member) who is a self described drug user and a rat. Is he to be believed? Not completely. The authors treat him with kid gloves and make him the hero of the story. The prosecutors and law enforcement became friends with the guy ... unreal. If that's true ... that's sad. The guy makes himself out to look like a hero both as a vietnam veteran and as a hero for ratting out his friends and family in the mafia. The book does have interesting information about the Roy DeMeo crew and the Gemini Lounge ... but with the information coming from their source ... it can't be completely trusted. Read Albert DeMeo's book for a better story. (It's available on ebay ...

  • Muder Machine by Gene Mustain

This book was recommended to me by a friend who reads murder novels. After his ongoing talking about this book I decided to buy it. A modern-day "Murder, Incorporated," the vicious Gambino crime family crew led by Roy DeMeo committed upward of 200 murders. Most victims were fellow criminals, but contrary to the supposed Mafia code, many were hapless civilians. So brutal and pathological were DeMeo's cohorts that even crime boss John Gotti reportedly feared them. The crew was convicted (DeMeo was murdered) in part by the testimony of Dominick Montiglio, a primary source for this book. Montiglio, a former Green Beret who became a mobster through the influence of his Mafia uncle, presents first-hand evidence of mob treachery and depravity. The authors , who wrote about Gotti in Mob Star ...

  • a story best read to be believed

fact filled rollercoaster of murder, mayhem and mafia. Some of the numbers of cars this crew stole is staggering, and the body count is scary, both sides of the story from law enforcement to the wiseguys. If Gotti hadent gotten Paul first, It looks like Roy would have.Crazy scary real true story.
