    Lost Moon

Great read! After seeing the movie Apollo 13 numerous times, I wanted to know the real story, and of course it takes Hollywood to embellish a truly incredible incident. But, by enlarge, the movie was fairly accurate!

  • Lost Moon by Jim Lovell, Kluger Jeffrey (1994)

I bought this book because I was a small boy when my mother and I watched the Mercury missions. We continued through the Gemini missions and when I was 10 the Apollo missions began. By this time I was into it, watching every aspect and finding all the information I could at the time. We lived not fifty miles from NASA. By the time Apollo 11 landed on the moon, I was as more knowledgable than most average citizens. However, like most, I began to lose interest after the 2nd moon landing. When Apollo 13 had their accident, I was again drawn to the space program and followed the mission to splashdown. A few years ago I watched Tom Hanks in the movie "Apollo 13" and I realized that some of the events did not ring true. I bought this book, "Lost Moon" to find out the true story of Apollo ...

  • Lost Moon Apollo:The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 BY Jim Lovell J Kluger

Lost Moon is a very easy reading book and a real pleasurable reading experience. The Apollo 13 Voyage is a testament to the bravery ingenuity and great achievements that human beings can rise to and accomplish in the most difficult complex and dire situations.A straightforward presentation of all the events and feelings related to this remarkable event.Well done book in every way.Even better my copy was signed by Jim Lovell himself making the book all the more a real testament to our amazing history.

  • Marvelous story!

Very interesting containing all of the backstories not shown in movies or even NASA footage. The book is in excellent condition considering it was used. I looked for this for a long time and am so glad I finally found it.

  • Lost Moon...Great Read

Excellent recounting of the ill fated mission. While reading the book you must remind yourself that they made it back or you will tense up wondering if they do.
