It Moves Me...
I purchased this HD DVD because I'm a very long-time Chicago fan. The talent, creativity and energy of the original Chicago Group fascinated me from their first album. Though the progressive changing of the musicians diminished the sound and experience from the original groups' persona, I still listen to Chicago frequently. This HD DVD is excellent because it captures a large part of the original Chicago experience. Earth, Wind and Fire also present a powerful performance. The manner in which the DVD is set up is outstanding. First, both groups play together; next, each group performs on its' own. It's really three concerts in one and each provides the energy you want and expect. If you are a Chicago or Earth, Wind & Fire fan, you will not be disappointed with this performance; or ... My kind of music, big band junkie.
If you was growing up doing the late 60's and early 70's, this hd dvd concert is a must to own. These two bands have been at the top of the music charts for too long to be counted. I do love this concert very much. Nothing could be as natural as a coming together as these two bands. All the music is known from begining to end bringing back so many memories of the days of your youth. Both bands are in top form show they know their stuff and their followers and don't let them down one bit. From the tech side of things, picture and sound quaility is without question. Absolutely tops. A great hd dvd to show off your system and what it can do and if it may need some redoing or improving. The biggest reason I decided to buy this hd dvd is I was in Orlando on vacation when they came to Dallas. I ... A "Must Have" for you concert DVD collection
Great concert. You will love this one. Chicago vocals are a little tired and off-key in a few of their old songs but still sound pretty tight. The Earth Wind and Fire musicians and vocals are dead on. There are many non-original band members in both groups, but they all do a great job. If this were a battle of the bands, Earth Wind and Fire wins. The finale when both bands play together is great. I got the HD DVD version - over 3 hours of concert on one disc. Played on the big wide screen in high def and in 5.1 surround sound is better than being there live. You won't be able to sit still through this one.Great concert. You will love this one.
