About this product

Product Information

The Dunlop DVP1 guitar volume pedal is an excellent performer, designed for use in live music environments. This pedal is an award-winning precision volume control, and has a patent-pending Low-Friction Band Drive. Achieve thick, luscious volume swells without the fear of breaking, when you use the Dunlop DVP1 pedal. It also allows you to keep control of your volume with exacting precision. The Low-Friction Band Drive delivers a smooth range of motion in both directions, with no strings or ratchet gears attached. Swell your guitars volume or pull it back for a full range of musical possibilities and effects. Be completely in control of your on-stage sound with this pedal, whether giving a song a sharp ending or a long fade out. The Dunlop DVP1 volume pedal does it all. It gives you a wide range of volume and tone dynamics, particularly when used with a tube amp. The tension is adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune this pedal to your personal preference, always knowing just the touch to give the pedal for your desired volume. The Dunlop DVP1 has high quality, low noise electric components as well, making the sound as clean and transparent as the feel is smooth. The power design of this guitar volume pedal is passive, utilizing the in-line circuit; just plug in your input and output, and you are ready to rock. You do not need to worry about it taking away a spot on your power block from your other gear. The design is simple and straightforward, making the Dunlop DVP1 volume pedal a great device to use on the go. The pedal is ergonomically designed with functionality in mind. It features a rocker pedal that is slightly curved to fit your foot, as well as an aggressive and rugged non-slip tread that keeps your foot firmly in place. The design, with its tire-like heavy patterned rubber inset on the treadle section and substantial weight, helps ensure total control while you ride the pedal back and forth to get sound level swells. The weight of the pedal keeps it firmly in place, along with more anchorage provided by the rubber-covered baseplate. All these details give the Dunlop DVP1 volume pedal great grip for your foot, and even more precision in your volume control. The chassis that houses the pedal is made of aluminum, yet the construction is rugged, ensuring that the pedal is up to the job long-term with the rest of your gear. Thanks to the low-noise electronic components, you can always count on this device for reliable audio effects. The pedal also features a handy output jack for a tuner. Volume changes are made using a conventional passive pot, but the partner treadle mechanism employs Dunlop’s new Steel Band Drive, designed for minimum maintenance and friction-free performance. Use this pedal in addition to your other pedal boards, wah pedals and amps.

  • Great pedal, but this thing is HUGE!!

I bought this pedal as an addition to my existing pedalboard. It looks great and functionally you cannot fault it. My only qualm was the size of the thing, I could not find any specifications anywhere on the internet that provided measurements and upon receiving the pedal gasped at the size of it. This thing is huge! Much bigger than the Cry Baby Wah Wah I was pairing it with. (I kind of wish that I had gone with the Dunlop High Gain now because of the disparity in size, but that is beside the point.) Size aside this pedal rocks - it looks good, feels solid, has a smooth rocker action (with an adjustable torque screw) and chunky rubber tread on top. I like the fact that the ins and outs are on the end as well. Oh and it's passive too, so no batteries! A great addition to any pedalboard if ...

  • Function, quality, reliability, durability, just really big and heavy!

This pedal is an excellent performer! Great sweep, tuner output works fine without any tone bleeding, quiet. Be warned, though, construction is extremely rugged, it has a very large footprint, and it weights a lot. If you are looking for something that fits onto a smaller piece of pedalboard, or packing pedals is an issue, you may want to go for a lighter, smaller pedal. Function, quality, reliability, durability, all Dunlop standards are there, just really big!

  • Expressive and impressive while easy to use and doesn't zap your tone

Very simple and straight forward. The passive design is nice so it doesn't eat up a spot on your power block. Quite simply plug input in and then input out and voila! Rock back and forth to get the sound level swells you hear in songs like Just What I Needed by The Cars and so on. There is a Tuner 1/4 output as well. I personally don't use this feature as I have the PolyTune pedal. I find this pedal great for sharp endings to songs or using it as a fade out.

  • Good quality product

I am quite happy with my Guitar Effect Pedal. I bought it to go with a pedal steel guitar and have had a lot of fun learning to use it.

  • Great pedal and addition to any pedalboard

I was looking for a new volume pedal for my pedalboard and this pedal had great reviews, turns out, I like this pedal more than I would have thought. Good clean sweep and looks great on my pedal board. I would definitely recommend this pedal to anyone looking for one.
