  • The soundstage literally puts you in the room with the performer.

The SC 35 is massive weighing in at 44 pounds. By far the heaviest AVR I've ever owned. After bi-amping the front speakers, and attaching the backs, and sub, attached my Apple TVII to HDMI 2, Panasonic DMP-BD 85 to BD HDMI (Not Assignable), Squeezebox Touch to the “CD” coax, Sharp Flatscreen to HDMI 1, and finally the Sub line out. I was very excited (giddy to be exact) to hit the power button. MCACC Full Auto was a snap and automatically set the Polk Monitor 60's, 40's, to “Large”. Based on other reviews I've read I switched them all to “Small” and proceeded to switch the input toggle to CD which in my setup is “Squeezebox” then toggled to “Pure Direct”, this turns off MCACC and the signal is unaltered. I needed to run something lossless and I selected some classic “Dire Strait” ...

  • Great value, easy to set up, clean smooth sound with lots of power.

Was looking to upgrade to a HDMI/3D ready home theatre receiver. Did lots of research and decided this unit gave me the best bang for my dollar. I felt the few added features of the SC-37 was not worth the extra 3-400 dollars for me. It was quite easy to set up, especially now with HDMI cables. So I hooked up the speakers attached the HDMI cables to my Plasma TV and Blue Ray DVD player and ran the Pioneer MCACC (accoustic calibration system). After that I was ready to enjoy. Clean smooth sound at all volume levels with lots of power to spare. I am very happy with this purchase.

  • The product is a good quality

I purchased this receiver to replace Marantz SR-7002 in my home theater system. The receiver as description by seller. This is very nice receiver with smart software and strong with ICE power technology. The cinema effect is very dynamic and quite good in music stereo performance. I was satisfied with this equipment.

  • SC-35 Wow!

absolutely love this receiver. i have owned some very nice equipment (rotel, parasound) but this is one nice unit. easy to setup. I first bought the vsx-1105 from a major retailer in canada and paid just over $900. hooked it up and watched a movie and fell in love. I decided i wanted to get a higher end elite model so looked around and cheapest here in canada I could find the sc-35 was about $2,000. I got this unit from the states for less than $1100.00 incl. shipping and taxes and duties. there is so much depth to the dialog and the explosions are exactly how they should sound. Highly recommend it.
