Boss RC-3 is a guitar effect pedal designed to produce sound modulations by applying effects such as Looper. To provide the musicians with an option to control the desired aspects of their instrument's tone, this Multi - Effects unit is equipped with the following controls: Loop Output Knob, Rhythm Output Knob, Down Button, Up Button, Write Button, Rhythm On/Off Button, Tap Tempo Button, Pedal Switch. The guitar effect pedal features 1/4-Inch Phone Jack/Stereo Miniature Phone Jack (AUX IN) input and 1/4-Inch Phone Jack output connectors. This RC-3 uses AC Adaptor/Battery power supply.

    Pretty much the standard for these pedal loopers

    I bought this for my son for Christmas. He plays guitar 2-3 hours per day, and he loves it. It can record 3 hours total time of tracks, and it has "jam tracks" from 90-99, including some very cool jazz and blues backing tracks. I may have to buy one of these for myself. The sound quality of the recordings is very good also. The sound is just like what you fed into it. Plus, it has a USB port so you can save your loops/tracks to a computer. Add to that a rugged build quality and you have a worthwhile product!

    Amazing. thats it. best loop station of that type (small stations).best.

    The first reason i thought about buying this, is to to able to put a mp3 input to my amp. i was very surprised when i found out about this pedal, as what i needed was only a small tip on a giant iceberg. this pedal is great, really, my top pedal. it has up to 30 minutes of recording time availble on it, 10 basic drum sets that you can set their beat through the keys, and other couple more built in backing track loops for you to practice to. i use it to "write down" riffs as i jam, i use it to practice jamming and writing, and the experience is great! you can do so much with this that i dont think my review is even covering enough of it, but if you want to go for a loop station, this is the one!

    Great practice and writing tool

    This is a great pedal for working out song ideas without the hassle of getting out the multi-track. I wish I had one years ago. The long loop time and rhythm selection are major bonuses and are well worth the extra selling price (vs. the cheaper boss loop pedals). It's also a great practice tool for working on solos, rhythm parts, bass lines, etc. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made in recent years.

    I don't know how I ever got along without this!!!

    I've had this for 2-3 months now and I LOVE IT!!! It's great for jotting down quick ideas or, for writing complete songs. There's 3 hours of recording space so it's not likely that you'd fill it up, at least not any time soon. Even if you did manage to fill up the memory, you can always dump files onto your PC via a USB cable, or put them back on to it when you want. There's a slight learning curve to operating it but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy, and fun. I bought this to get back into playing and recording again, and it's been a HUGE help!! You can plug just about ANY instrument or audio output device into it, including an mp3 player if you want to play along with some of your favorite songs. The only thing I don't like about it is the weak, trashy sounding drum loops ...

    The force is with this pedal!!

    Absolutely the best pedal I have ever owned. That's a long time invested in playing. This pedal has all you need to improving your playing abilities. Built in rhythm and a layered channel to play along with. Easy to use operation! Personally I feel you can't go wrong purchasing this pedal. Alto Music on Ebay offers a great deal on the Boss RC3. As Wayne would utter, "Excellent deal"!
