Really enjoy this amp
I was looking for a relatively inexpensive integrated amp primarily for a pair of 4ohm Dynaudio focus 110 bookshelf speakers in a fairly small room, and this amp does a great job. I think it would be fine in a much larger room as well. Plenty of power. Good phono stage too.

engaging sound!
Bought an Arcam SA10 recently and I'm loving it! It replaced a Marantz PM6005 and it's really leagues above the Marantz. I also own an Iotavx SA3 and an Audiolab 6000A for comparisons. I think the Audiolab offers the purest most honest sound and is superb for instrument placement. it is holographic and it's very quick and articulate in the bass. A very honest sound that can be a bit too revealing with poor recordings! The Iotavx SA3 offers good clarity, fast enough bass, also neutral but a bit more forgiving with poor recordings. it lacks a bit of "air" in the high register and has a bit less depth than the Audiolab. The Arcam is more 'robust' with a bit of warmth added to the lower mid register but despite the 'warmth' it's still very articulate and clear and offers more dynamics than the ... It has an engaging energetic sound on orchestra's forte sections, but it can also be delicate with subtle spare arrangements. Its bass is a bit less quick but is the most musical (foot tapping effect) with different genres. Also, if you have a nice vinyl collection, the Arcam phono preamplifier is leagues above the Audiolab, the Iota or the Marantz. Vinyls really sing with the Arcam....from piano sonatas to string quartets to classic rock and jazz piano trios. Very highly recommended!

One Great Receiver for pure stereo.
Best receiver I have ever owned - for clarity of sound, versatility and appearance. Not a lot of "bells and whistles" for surround sound, etc, and from my perspective that's a good thing. Just pure, articulate stereo sound!
