Abel Frye, a troubled teen accused of stabbing a young girl to death, committed suicide in what is, ten years later, known as the ‘forbidden wing’. Ten years later, students at Rogers High School believe the spirit of the tormented teen returns, as students on the football team begin to see hallucinations of the dead pupil. Nate and Sarah Springfield and their two teenage children go undercover to solve the mystery claiming the students in the school with a deadly force that can only end in tragedy, after finding out you can not annihilate what you cannot come across. This high school thriller has an important message underneath its mystery, and has a positive outcome viewers can all enjoy. I enjoyed this movie and its conflict, as well as the bravery of the two undercover teenagers. ... A "family friendly" scary movie
This is a great movie for a church lockin or a sleep over. There is NO offensive language and NO adult type situations. The story is centered around a family of secret agents. They investigate a situation at a local highschool. Id like to describe it as a R.L. Stein type "goosebumps" movie, but its better than that. Its not a major hollywood production, but has solid acting. Its just a great family movie, but might not be suited for small children. My youngest was 12 when we first saw it, and she loved it.This is a great movie for a church lockin or a sleep over. There is NO offensive language and NO adult type situations. Hangman's Curse DVD
This is a great movie for any and all ages. It is much, much better produced and acted than Frank Peretti's other movie,"Visitation". I have not yet read Hangman's Curse book, but this movie stands by itself very well, one does not need, in my opinion, to read the book in order to follow the storyline. Parents should be advised that the movie is rated PG-13 for "elements of violence/terror and for brief drug material", as with any movie it should be the parents discretion to allow or not allow children to watch such movies, but I believe that this movie would be fine with parental supervision and guidance. Great family film!
I bought this movie after seeing Frank Peretti's "The Visitation". I had never heard of this movie until my nephew told me about it. I was familiar with Frank Peretti's literary works, and enjoyed "The Visitation", so I figured this would be a good choice, too. It did not disappoint me! It was a good, clean movie that had a good, suspenseful plot. I would highly recommend this movie to families with teenagers. It's a movie you could feel comfortable showing in any group setting.I bought this movie after seeing Frank Peretti's "The Visitation". Hangman's Curse
I have read some of Frank Peretti's books and enjoy them, but I haven't read "Hangman's Curse", so I got the DVD instead. I really liked it. I am not into scary movies, but this one was good and I liked the message. I just didn't like the creepy hairy creatures at the end. I don't like them in real life either. If you haven't seen the movie, guess you will just have to get it.I am glad I got it and if there are anymore of Frank P. on DVD I will probably get them.I have read some of Frank Peretti's books and enjoy them, but I haven't read "Hangman's Curse", so I got the DVD instead.
