The BEFSR41 wireless router supports Universal Plug and Play for easy setup and configuration and is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Macintosh OS X, Linux, Android based systems, and all modern operating systems with a web browser. This gives users the ability to administer and upgrade the router remotely on any computer connected to the Internet. It is also compatible with all standard Internet applications. The 4-port switch speeds up connections for gaming and multimedia streaming. Additionally, there is a firewall to protect your computer and network from intruders.     Great value for the money, good for a first-time user to learn with...

    I needed something to expand the network without spending blood for it... this did it because of the low cost and the ease of setup... not a lot to do to get it running and it is very user friendly... good guides and well written manuals...If you want to spend a lot of money on a router you can, however I would suggest you give this one a try before you do... Sure it is an older router, but you can't beat it for the price.

    Very limited speed

    Be aware that versions 1 & 2 of this router will only function at 10 Mbps maximum. To obtain a 100 Mbps rating, you need to purchase a version 3 or 4. Versions 1 & 2 have the 4 rows of lights, and versions 3 & 4 have the single row of lights.
