The book actually exceeds the description. It was said to be an ex-library book, which is correct. What wasn't said (but very welcome to see on delivery) is it is completely unmarked inside, very clean, no notes, no scribble, no writing. So thank you to an outstanding vendor for a good book at a great price.

  • Great Koontz thriller

17-year-old Carl Stanfeuss, alias Slim MacKenzie, is on the run from the law for murdering his uncle Denton. His crime was justifiable, however-Uncle Denton was a "goblin", a murderous creature disguised in human flesh, one of millions walking among us. Slim is one of a few humans who can see through the goblins' masquerade to the true monster underneath, and he makes a point of doing all he can to eliminate as many of them as possible. They feed on human death and suffering...their aim is to destroy humanity and take over the earth. Slim joins the Sombra Brothers carnival and falls in love with his employer Rya Raines, but his psychic powers tell him that the goblins have hatched a terrible plot to kill many people, using the carnival rides to accomplish the deed. The courageous Slim must ...

  • Twilight Eyes

Twilight Eyes is set in the late 60's about a man who can see through the personal human disguises of what he calls the "Goblin kind" This story is not for children and has adult themes and situations along with alot of violence. The Goblins are going to take over the world , but they need to kill off the human race first. I had read this when I was alot younger but now as an adult I didnt have much interest in the amount of violence and gore that this book contained. The book itself is well written and the characters have depth and feeling to them and are very colorful. The story is gripping and gets you involved right away.

  • EXCELLENT STORY, MY FAVORITE KOONTZ

I read this book for the first time when I was 15yrs old and I absolutely loved it...everything from the suspence to the thrills to the romance, once I started I could not put it down. Ten years later, I remembered everything but the title and began a 2 week search online trying desperately to find this book again with only my memories of the story. I was so happy to find it finally and read the insert to figure out it was the novel I had been seaching for. I can't wait to read it again; I am an avid Dean Koontz reader and as my memory serves, this has been my all time favorite.

  • Twilight Eyes

Without doubt Dean is my No 1 choice when looking for books, I just wish he could write a book a week, Then I wouldnt have to keep waiting for the next one to come out. Im not going to go into details about the book as if you are like me, I prefer to not know anything untill I start reading about it in the book, I have read every one of his books so far and I love them all. So as you can probably guess from what I wrote above, I highly Recomend this book.

  • freaky

This book is classic Koontz in the fact you are never quite sure if Slim is seeing what he's seeing and is in desperate need on medication. If it's the latter then he is going around killing innocent people because he thinks that they are monsters coming to take over the world. The same excuse someone may use when they push an elderly person onto the subway tracks.
