About this product

Product Information

The enigma of Marilyn Monroe's final project comes to light in this documentary, which features a restoration of the film which she was working on when she died. Directed by George Cukor, the film was called SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE, and co-starred Dean Martin and Cyd Charisse. But the production was troubled by Marilyn's instability. She was fired and rehired, and died before filming was completed, and the footage that remains is assembled here as it would have appeared in the final piece, lovingly restored to its original CinemaScope. Narrated by James Coburn (THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN), the documentary provides new information about Marilyn's last days, as her vulnerability and volatility become clear in never-before-seen backstage footage, interviews with Marilyn and her co-stars, and hair, make-up, and costume tests.

  • The premature end of Marilyn Monroe and her last Film.

This movie/documentary, is probably one of the best digital biographies you will ever have the pleasure to watch, about the legendary and most controversial demise of the beautiful Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe. I myself have seen only the first 5 min's of what is I'm sure an intriguing journey with pieces of a puzzle that could paint a picture for her beloved fans about why her life was cut short so suddenly, especially as she was at a point in her life that most of us can only dream of being. Why have I only seen 5 min's ? Well, my Mother is the collector of Marilyn memorabilia and she doesn't have an Ebay account.. and she couldn't wait to get home to watch some of it when I told her it had arrived... the End :) P.S Marilyn's last movie 'Something's gotta give' as far as I know ...

  • Tragic Ending

The production values, the interviews, were done with honestly, canid, without sediment, and non judgemental. Beautiful images of her and the final movie uncompleted. Tragic ending.

  • Marilyn Monroe: The Final Days

I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE CAUSE I WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT MARILYN MONROE'S FINAL DAYS AND I WAS VERY SATISFIED! THE DOCUMENTARY WAS VERY MOVING! IT MADE ME SAD! AND I CRIED LIKE A BABY. I LOVE HER! THEY MOVIE MADE ME FEEL WHAT SHE WAS GOING THROUGH! AT THE END IT SHOWED HER FINAL UNFINISHED FILM. MARILYN MONORE IS A LEGEND THAT WILL BE FOREVER REMEMBERED!

  • Excellent last days documentary of Marilyn!!!!

It showed what had been made of her last movie which never aired. Some of the last photographs of Marilyn. Her famous pool side shooting. Really is a great documentary of her last days. Would def advise purchasing it if a Marilyn collector.

  • Marilyn at her best.

I didn't like that it had so much history at the beginning of the DVD. It went on forever, so long that I was actually surprised that they were then showing the movie. I bought it because I wanted to see the movie. I already knew Marilyn's history up till then. So I recommedn that people skinm through it to get to the movie or just beware that the movie does come at the end of the tape.
