Crazy packaging job, not reflective of the cost, but it arrived unharmed and as described.

Item arrived with thick adhesive stains all over the left sleeve, and other areas. This was not shown in the auction photos or mentioned in the description. The seller was contacted multiple times for a potential resolution; there was no response after providing a photo as proof. I would not have bid on, or purchased this item had the seller been more upfront and transparent.

  • Dirty L.A.

From the archives of the LAPD files comes a photographic glimpse of crime scenes from the 1920's to the 1960's. With a foreword from LAPD Chief Williams J. Bratton, you are given insight to the job of being a cop in Los Angeles and the dedication required. The son of a mother murdered in the streets of L.A. from the 1950's, James Elroy (LA Confidential writer) gives a gritty introduction as only he can. With a summary to some of the photos discovered in LAPD's vaults, Elroy gives a quick "in your face" account of what occurred. The book gives a peek into the dark side to Los Angeles during an era that is usually glamorized by television and film. Definetly a must have for the fans of LA Confidential and the mystery of the Black Dahlia.

  • Weegee's heirders

If you love dark scene photographers such as Weegee, this is a major book you couldn't miss (the XXl size of the book is part of joy of belonging it) . Every creator should have it as a visual landmark (since i've bought it two of my friends did too). But, must of all, you realise that these Lapd photographers were real artists in their own way. Even if the subject was horror and pain they alaways tried to show it in a good light and frame. a A++++++++
