Great Ultra Light Rod for the Money
These JDM rodsare the Aji models (aji is mackerel in japanese). I use the shorter version for Halalu (Big Eye Scad Mackerel) here in Hawaii, But also have this model the 7'3 for Ultra Light game. These rods are super lightweight and built nicely. I've caught numerous fish on them already. All baby tiny to 16" 3-4lb Trevally here. I also frequent the mainland US as i have property in AZ. I take these for Rainbow Trout and once in a while when theres no large structures i use it for Large Mouth Bass! Pairs well with a 1k reel. I use either a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000, Shimano Ultegra 1000 and a Stradic CI4 1000. All reels feel very balanced. Did not try with a 2500 or 3000 shimano size yet.
