    Accurate and reliable.

I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 1350 six years ago and have had great success using it. At the time I purchased it it was the only brand that accurately located the location of a house I owned. As an American Red Cross disaster volunteer I use this to find my way around on the back roads of rural Missouri and Illinois. Was amazed at the completeness and the accuracy of the road map. Most of the time as a volunteer I use it in responding to floods and flash floods that often block roads. This requires finding alternate routes to get to the required location and the Garmin Nuvi 1350 proved indispensable in these circumstances. Over the six years that I have used this unit I have never had a problem with it, found the display clear and informative, easy to use, and the voice that is used is ...

    Mostly good

For driving it did very well while I was visiting in France. The drawback is when using it in pedestrian mode. I never really got it to work right. I changed it to bicycle mode which took a longer route than walking. So that really wasn't a good fit either. So, I switched it back to driving mode when I was walking. The battery lasted about 1 - 2 hours while in use.

  • Garmin Nuvi Automotive 1350 GPS receiver

I bought it because my Magellan does not stay on; it has some sort of connection problem. I bought the 1350 Garmin because I didn't need the traffic feature provided by the 1350T. I may have been too hasty as traffic in this area changes quickly, especially during the Summer when tourists flock to NH and ME. The voice of the unit is kind of mumbled and there does not seem to be any way to change to another voice. My Magellan, at least, offered a male or female voice. This one doesn't. I have yet to try it out on the road as I just charged it for 4 hours and set it up with basic functions. It looks like it should work out just fine. I like the POI function and the fact that I can delete some listings that no longer exist, such as a restaurant the I know is out of business. Garmin ...

  • Great product

The unit arrived exactly as described, but missing one of the accessiories (dash mount). Didn't bother me at all, because I use mine directly attached to the windshield. It has a very fast processor, solves routes much faster then my other GPS. The spoken routing is very accurate, and get most of the speaking without any accent in Portuguese language (don't know how much this matters but...) For new buyers: it took about 15-20 minutes to acquire the green signal on the first time I turned it on. I looked on some internet forums, and it happens once in a while, so be pacient. Pros: fast processor, reliable sattelite signal (does not loose signal easily), nice interface, beautiful bright screen, reasonable price. Cons: no FM transmitter or Bluetooth, no map management directly on the ...

  • GPS 1350

This is a great GPS. I bought it to replace of my old unit & found there is a huge difference between the two. a) performance - performance to detect the satellite signal of 1350 is very good. It detects the signal within seconds as compared to my old one, which sometimes takes more than a minute. b) design - it's slim, good looking and well built. c) When you switch on/off the engine of the car, the unit will automatically switch on/off if you connect it to the car charger My old unit does not do that. The battery will drain if I forget to turn off the GPS, d) The interface - It is simple and user friendly. Great functions and features. Having said that, there are things about the unit that I dislike. 1. I am from Malaysia. I bought this GPS from eBay cause it is about USD120 cheaper ...
