Close Encounters of the Third Kind on VHS
I bought the movie a couple of weeks ago. I had this movie and it was misplaced when we moved. I love the movie because of the feeling I get watching it. The shots of the UFO coming into the field along with the music and the sound it makes is kind of exciting & scary at the same time. A normal man going about his business and then one night his life completely changes because of a UFO encounter.What degrees the government went to to cover up the UFO contact and what they did to get the people off the mountain so the UFO could land. The pictures of the aliens were great!!The shot of the people coming down the ramp of the UFO in clothes they had been wearing back in the 30's & 40's. They had not aged a bit. If you get this movie I am sure you will enjoy it...!To me it was excellent!

Excellent Unopened "Close Encounters"
The VHS tape came shrink wrapped and had never been opened. I watched it right away on my DVD / VCR combo and was taken away so to speak. Excellent.

I won't summarize the whole movie as there are several good reviews already. I wanted to add that I bought it to tease my 10 year old grand child for messing with her mashed potatoes. She was entranced by the movie. Really wanted to see the ships and aliens. Wanted to adopt one. Wanted to play the melody on the keyboard. This has stood up well. I love Truffaut. If you like him in this, see L'enfant Sauvage (The Wild Child).I won't summarize the whole movie as there are several good reviews already. I was looking for this movie. and found it.I remember when I first saw it we lived in Lubbock texas.thats my home.when the movie started the wind and sand was blowing hard in the first scene.someone in the audience shouted,,,, hey that looks like lubbock.the whole place rocked with laughter.becaues lubbock has alot of sand stormes. that was so cool.my family and I really injoyed the movie.and I like space and alien movies any way love itI was looking for this movie. and found it.I remember when I first saw it we lived in Lubbock texas.thats my home.when the movie started the wind and sand was blowing hard in the first scene.someone in the audience shouted,,,, hey that looks like lubbock.the whole place rocked with laughter.becaues lubbock has alot of sand stormes. that was so cool.my family and I really injoyed the movie.and I like space and alien movies any way love it
