    Good product for the cost

    I was concerned about a screeching noise when I first tried using the recorder, but I have learned that the playback volume can only be turned up about half way, or the screeching noise will begin. With this use information, I think it is still usable for my intentions. The item is okay for the price I gave for it.

    Wouldn't have ordered had I known

    Thought, and was led to believe, that variable speed meant it could be slowed. Can only be sped up, which sounds like "the chipmunks". Decent price, but also cheaply made.
