    The motor showed up in a timely fashion. It was packed in such a way as to arrive in good shape. It appeared to be new as stated in the add. Though there was some confusion at first, PNKMonky was helpful and even offered to take the motor back. The original motor was no longer produced, but Amana said this one would work. It does work and the motor is functioning well and tumbling the clothes in the dryer as we speak. Thank you PNK!

    No silly electronics!

    This is a great working no nonsense purely mechanical, bi-metallic spring thermostat. I had previously purchased the better looking vintage style CT87K, but did not realize that its not for a millivolt system. I have a wall mounted gas heater with no fan this is the thermostat for it. If you look inside there is even a way to do some micro adjustment of the contact parts. I see no reason why this unit will not last forever. My previous sill model had a non-replaceable battery in it and a circuit board. I read that it might last 10 years and then need to be entirely replaced! What a bad design on Honeywell's part! This low end model has none of that nonsense within it!

    Simple and effective, great value.

    The mechanism works off of a temperature sensitive coil spring, just like the choke on an old carburetor. When the setting turns on the heat, the small metal tip of the spring touches a magnet to close the circuit and turns on the heat, very simple, but effective. Good quality, great price.

    Very good quality; gets the job done

    Had one before, and needed to replace after 5 years. This kind of thermostat when used in kitchen can get dirty and loose contact. Contacts are not sealed. Could have cleaned but thought best to get a new one. Cost is very reasonable.
