      I wanted to get my toddler a camera since he became familiar with my DSLR. I didn't want some garbage kid camera but I also didn't want to spend a few hundred dollars on a toddler. I originally bought a $60 Splash 2. It was just junk. Even my toddler could tell that the camera quality wasn't very good. I did a lot of research and found this used Sony Cybershot for about $50. It has a huge LCD. It's compact and very easy for a toddler to handle. It also has an easy mode built in. That made the touch screen very simple for my child to navigate. The device is super simple to power on by sliding the lens cover down. The image quality is phenomenal for the price. Sony isn't exactly a slouch in imaging.       Touch Screen icons are NOT in same location as earlier models. Uses CMOS sensor & is perfect size (w/slide cover) to carry in front pants pocket ... all day. 8x10 generally max size; movies @ 1080i; 3.5" screen. It's a good buy.
