        They don't write them like this anymore!

        This series is as engrossing now as it was when I first saw it on PBS. The actors are wonderful and the writing is superb. I'm not binging (showing great restraint on my part) but rationing the shows to a couple episodes per week. They are outstanding! And huge thanks to the nice seller for putting them out there. No technical problems have come to light thus far. Thanks for something great!

        Terrific historical series!

        I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! It's about a part of WWII I never knew about and loved learning about it. I never realized how much the citizens of Britain had to go through with the bombings, but then had to deal with bombs that didn't explode. They were designed not to explode and so servicemen had to learn how to defuse them so more people wouldn't be killed. It was fascinating. And then the actors and storyline were wonderful. Especially Anthony Andrews!!! A really good series, I saw it on the Acorn channel and decided I just had to own it, it's a keeper. It was made in the 70s, but was still good quality. Make sure you get a dvd set that can play on US players.

        Perfect for WWII Buffs.

        Fantastic purchase. The series is as superb as I remember it from the 70’s. My parents survived WWII in London & Glasgow. UXB was one of their favorites, especially the accurate location filming. Everything is spot on in this series. Highly recommend.

        Suspense and Romance Throughout.

        Suspense, Romance, Danger and a view of the times. Nerve-wracking at times. Very suspenseful at at other times. Tangled characters and leaders of both good and bad leadership qualities. Great series with well cast characters.
