    This tender was an original that was modified with rear lights. It added more realism on the train and layout. Just love it. Works real well.

    Reliable mid-1950s technology

    The 2046W (AKA "streamlined") tender served credibly behind several notable Lionel steamers, including the Turbine, mid-sized Hudsons, and Berks, in numerous Lionel sets. My example arrived in good shape, well-packed, and whistling. I took the liberty of opening it up, servicing the motor, lubing all rotating bearings and returning it to the track. It is happiest serving behind a 671, 681, 2020, but also looks good behind a 736 or 665.
