    This Gear Saved My LaserJet 4L Printer!

    I was ready to toss my broken LaserJet 4L printer that we've owned since 1991 when I happened across a YouTube video that described my problem and the fix...this $8 gear. It took me about 30 minutes to replace and the printer's working great now. Note-this printer uses an old style big print cartridge that lasts for about 10 years with our moderate usage, and the print cartridges are down in price now since most of the printers are out of circulation.

    Paper jam problem on Apple Laserwriter 4/600 printer fixed

    Vintage Apple Laserwriter 4/600 started crinkling paper and gave a paper jam complaint. Paper would not feed from the cassette or by manual feed. A review of the info on the internet suggested that the drive gear on the motor was at fault. This gear solved the problem and was a 45 minute fix.
