    Though I did not fully grasp what a "high density" connector was and ended up finding that it didn't work on my board, I have to admit that there were plenty of warnings so it's my fault. I worked around the problem by plugging one of the standard connectors on the cable into the motherboard instead and that worked, though I gave up using the cable for dual drives. In all my decades in IT I have never seen a board that required a high density floppy connector - always a first time I guess!
