It's a shelf that works.
I was looking for a shelf that can be mounted on a TV that's on a swinging wall mount so my components don't fall off the shelf when I try moving the TV. This shelf does exactly that. You can adjust the width of the mounting brackets to work with whatever mounting holes your TV has on it. My only complaint is that the brackets aren't long enough for my own TV so I'm only using 2 screws to hold it on, rather than 4. Look closely at the design
The shelf is very sturdy and the heavy duty design will easily hold the maximum load weight identified. The shelf brackets are designed to mount to VESA mounting points on the back of the TV. Although it appears to be the perfect solution for locating a component device, the fact is that when you mount the unit to a flat screen TV, the shelf protrudes forward of the TV front almost the entire shelf depth. Not only is this unpleasant to the eye, it also creates a potential "head buster" if you're not paying attention. Although it may be a great solution for an older HD TV, the newer flat screen designs make this shelf a non-starter if you're looking to find an out of the way location for your TV component.The shelf is very sturdy and the heavy duty design will easily hold the maximum load weight identified. Good option for a cable box or DVD
This is a good option if you don't like electronic mess, great for finally getting the cable box out of the way, its too bad that the cable companies don't go to a Bluetooth remote so we can hide the cable box out of sight. I use it with my ZVOX mini speaker and its the perfect size.

I only recommend if you own a dremel tool.
The shelf works ok. But the allen wrench stripped out the screw head. I had to use a dremel tool to cut a slot in the screw head so i could use a straight screw driver to tighten and loosen the screws. Otherwise you may want to return it. The problem being, you can not take it apart when the screw head is stripped out.
