    An interesting product

    I have not yet used these. This is the only product I could find to measure oil content in R134A systems. The price is very reasonable. No word on how many ounces of refrigerant I lose making the test.

    Years of research got me here

    In my BMW F25 i have this annoying humming noise every timely turn on my a/c with the compressor running. It changes with engine speed and goes away when the compressor is switched off and the fan is just running. Came across a blog that mentioned that the compressor oil may be low even though the system cools fine and the a/c guages read nothing specification on the high and low side. I bought this little test kit and within 5 seconds of using it i found my oil is indeed low. Saved my compressor

    Not exact amount

    Had to use three test modules, first one I didn't follow the instructions, same for the second, went back latter and read them, HA, it worked but didn't tell me how much, just that it was with in spec. Its better than "hope its got enough oil"!

    The item works as intended. Tried on 2 different vehicles. Make sure the A/C valve cores are tight after using this. My 9 year old vehicle had low pressure valve core leak about a month after using this item. I'm sure it's just age; don't think the item damaged it.

    Great analysis tool.

    Recently, my 20 year old car AC compressor blew and it looked like there wasn't much oil in the system. I added the oil to the compressor and the new dryer. Later I cut the dryer open and it was bone-dry so I was questioning the system oil level. This tool allowed me to verify there was enough, and equally important, not too much oil in the system. I am going to use the rest of them to check the oil in our other cars...perhaps I can save another compressor failure.
