  • Good enough

I had a Pentium 4 (2.8ghz) - 530 installed on an old Dell. I upgraded to this 560 running at 3.6ghz and the difference is definitely noticeable. However, this is making the fans kick in big time, even with excellent quality thermal paste applied. Aside from this, I'd say that this processor is definitely worth it for old systems.

  • A solid upgrade for older, less powerful, Pentium 4.

Purchased this Intel Pentium 4 model 560 processor as an upgrade to an older HP server. It was a factory approved option for my server at the time of it's original sale. The speed of the server increased with the upgrade and was fully supported by the BIOS and HP microcode in the unit. Overall, pleased with the upgrade and the 560.

  • Good processor, easy upgrade, ton of fun!

Very easy to replace the 2.8 P4 once I figured out how to remove the fan on my Dell by watch youtube instruction videos. It uses a lot more watts than the 2.8 ghz so the fan noise was loud after the upgrade, and I know I have to do something to take care of the fan noise. I bought new golden thermal paste from ebay - it came in with a syringe and after replacing the thermal paste the noise was not noticable anymore. If you have a choice perhaps you should go with the 661 which is 85 watts. But for around $10 total this is a good product and fun upgrade

  • Old tech still working

Nice CPU the price was right it's an old technology but still have some uses around here and there as the LGA 775 was the best socket till LGA 1155 came recently

  • Good chip worked great

was a good upgrade for my processor speed and worked great no problems, chip was fairly priced and is a good upgrade for the money
