      A great CPU upgrade for older motherboards.

      For most LGA 775 motherboards this is one of the fastest processors supported. It easily has enough power to run Windows 7 and even Windows 10 adequately (although I would recommend Windows 7 or 8 at most). The processor is dual core that supports hyperthreading. Make sure to use an Intel heatsink/fan that contains a copper core as this CPU does have a tendency to get hot under large loads. The heatsink/fans that came with LGA 775 Celeron processors have an aluminum core ... do not use those! I installed this CPU onto an Intel D101GGC motherboard (the max this board will accept) along with 2GB of RAM (again, the max the board will support). Windows 7 Pro 32bit hums right along. Windows XP Pro SP3 absolutely screams and Windows 2000 SP4 is lightning fast.
