I originally installed a flowerpot antenna on my roof split for two seperate blog v3 sdr to receive adsb/mlat. The flowerpot was only rxing a poor 100nm range so I thought I would upgrade to a better antenna. I ordered this antenna and at first laughed when it came through the letter box as I was expecting it 2 be a metre long However. DONT BE FOOLED! ... But its made a huge difference with the amount of aircraft reporting i get with FlightAware.My only issue was having to get a BNC to SMA lead. But thats how my setup is, so nothing to do with the Antenna itself.
