SCHOOL OF ROCK is a hilarious romp that parents will enjoy as much as their children. Jack Black stars as Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star who doesn't seem to be rocking much of anything these days. Kicked out of the band that he started and about to be kicked out of his apartment, Dewey pretends that he's his roommate Ned Schneebly (Mike White) in order to take a job as a substitute teacher. Arriving at an ultra conservative--and ultra expensive--prep school, Dewey manages to fool the uptight principal (Joan Cusack). Soon, he finds himself in a classroom with a bunch of fifth graders. Obviously, Dewey has no intentions of teaching these kids anything, but when he discovers that a handful of them are talented musicians, a light bulb goes off.     School Of Rock DVD

    This is an amazing acting vehicle for Jack Black. Writer/Actor Mike White wrote this enjoyable screen play with Mr. Black in mind. The entire cast is top notch. On every level this movie is fantastic! Treat the family especially children, and if your child plays a musical instrument, all the better!

    All time favorite movie!!

    Jack Black is hilarious! This movie has great music and is very entertaining. This is also a great family movie. There is no nudity, no sexual stuff, nothing risqué, no drug use. The only two things I can think of that some might be wary about is there is a scene where Jack Black has a hangover, and kids say "kick some ass" in the song at the very end. Overall awesome movie!
