    Listing claimed "18AWG, pure copper" and "DC Power Pigtail Cable 12V 5A ". If you are OK with melted wires, 5A is fine. I tested 1A and these connectors seen fine, at 2A, the "18 AWG" wires became warm. At 5A, I had to stop testing after about 20 seconds as the wires became hot and started feeling like they were going to melt. This seller needs to update their item listing to remove false advertising. Do not advertise 5 amps if the product can only safely handle 1 amp. These are not 18 AWG.

    Hi, Thanks for the review. We just tested 20X cables right away w/ 5A but didn't find any melt point. 30 mins the wires stay around 54C degree. My only concern could happen is mistaken using higher Voltage power adapter? 14V / 16.8V 19V X 5A is over 60W (Volt X Amp = Watt). Melting sound like Over Voltage issues. I can help you refund if cause by ship damage wire could happen once in a wild. Please stay this review because I want other can see. BTW We did sold thousand without issues.
