This fellow is amazing, since it appears the part was machined from a plastic block. With a little patience on my part, and a small flat head screw driver, I was able to install it, and it functions very well. How much do I owe you, since a full reimbursement of $12.56 was made due to improper parts first received. I too love to fix things.

I'd had my vacuum hose rigged so that it would work but don't think it would've lasted very long, so I'd resigned myself to the fact that I would have to get a new one - it is THE major flaw with their products and once this one dies, I will never buy another Shark Vacuum again.
