The diameter of the roller is okay, but not great when you see how close the hull of the boat comes to the top of the bracket. I had to reinstall it because the metal bracket was starting to touch the keel of the boat. Still may cause future problems and I may have to make changes. May have to buy a different roller. I never had a problem with the boat lining up on the trailer, so a regular roller would work fine. I have a single axle aluminum trailer (Magic Tilt) and a 19' Boat (Stingray)
