    This set ain't what it used to be

    If the board were any thinner, it would have to be paper. It is very weak. The checker pieces are so thin and light weight they are difficult to pick up and the chess pieces are neither weighted nor do they have felt covered bottoms. They are so light as well that they fall over with the slightest movement. I remember when these sets were built to last...this is a paper shell chess set for sure.
