    The Wire

    As so many critics said, one of the finest shows ever presented on television. The language is raw, but it's realistic - these aren't Park Avenue people. (Now that I think of it, I know a lot of upscale people who talk the same way. :0) You'll find yourself loving the lovable characters and despising the unlovables - both police and ghetto people. This is a superb series - police lingo and ghetto dialect so realistic that glossaries can be found online. One of the few shows to exhibit the loneliness and hopelessness of abject poverty with few (legal) ways out. And one of the few shows to display the reasons some police become jaded.

    Terrific!

    This is a terrific show. The action has moved from the projects in Season 1 to the docks in Season 2. A group of women turn up dead and a new police unit is formed to investigate. They know there is something funny going on with some of those shipping containers down at the docks, but how do they find out what's going on? Murder, drugs, prostitution. It's all there in Season 2. Lots of violence and bad language (hey they are drug dealers). Has many of the same characters from Season 1 plus some good performances from new characters in Season 2. Worth seeing.

    The Wire is hands down the best television show ever!!

    This show is the best cop show ever made. Realistic up until the last couple of season where it goes a little off course. But by then it doesn’t matter because you’re hooked. Highly recommend this show
