About this product

Product Information

From 3D perspective similar to that of the home computer version of The Sims 2, PlayStation Portable players guide their customizable Sims 2 characters to tend to basic needs, interact with in-game objects, and make friends (or enemies) with other characters. Exclusive to the PSP edition of the title is its storyline, set in a re-imagined version of the original Sims's "Strangetown" neighborhood. The game's twisting plot is unlocked, piece by piece, as players collect mysterious items and uncover secrets. Even if they are not immediately driven to uncover all of Strangetown's many conspiracies, however, players can spend time developing their characters however they see fit, by making new acquaintances, learning new skills, and obtaining new objects.

  • Sims 2 PSP - loading, loading, loading, loading.....

Make sure you have a full battery charge and alot of time on your hands to play Sims 2 for PSP. Hey, don't get me wrong, this is a great game. But you will spend most of your time waiting for the game to load. And I mean load! Every time you react to another character, every time you buy something, every time you use something, ANY time you do ANYTHING! The story line is great, customization of characters and your home is good, graphics are excellent, new style of linear gameplay is fun, but you better have patience. This really is a good game, but you have to give it a fair shake and be prepared to wait for those awful and often loads!

  • Addictive Sims 2 for PSP

While the load time is a bit lengthy and frequent, and the character customization and interactions are pretty limited, the gameplay for The Sims 2 for PSP is pretty addictive. The game has a good storyline that sucks the player into it -- keeping the player attached to their PSP to uncover secret upon secret, and therein unlock new features and items. While the game is enjoyable, Sims fans should be aware that The Sims 2 for PSP is nothing like The Sims 2 for PC. The objectives are completely different and gameplay isn't nearly as open ended. This version is much more like a traditional RPG -- where the player has "adventures" through their efforts to complete a quest. If the player keeps that in mind and knows what to expect, they'll enjoy the game.

  • SIMS 2 for PSP

This is an OK game. The main problem with it is that, like the original Playstation, the loading time can be so long. When you go to save the game, you have to waaaaait and waaaait and waaaaait. Also, you can only have one character at a time. My fiance and I both wanted to play the game, but you can only have once character at a time. You can make a character and make two save files with the same character, but, it's only ONE character. So in order to have more than one character, you have to go buy another memory card for your PSP. Sometimes, unless you have a walk-through, there are some things that are hard to find in the game. It *is* fun to play, and to develop your own character's personality. The range of "looks" to pick for your character is so vast, it's a little pointless. With ...

  • The Sims 2 psp

The Sims, whats not to love about them? The psp version of the virtual world is in my option a pretty good game. I would suggest this game to any fan of the Sims game but you might want to stick to the PC version of the game. The story line and game play is good but the load times and lagging is what really kills the fun factor of the game. On one last note the customization of the game in some areas lacks, but the option to change the color on furniture is a positive.

  • Fun stuff, long loading times

I'm addicted to sims 2 for pc, so I bought this one. You can do more here than in Sims 2 for pc, go visit more places. I enjoyed it so much I played through to the end twice. The only reason it doesn't have an excellent rating from me is the excruciatinly long load times. You'll need a second hobby to occupy yourself while waiting for this game to load.
