The Logitech TV Cam is a high-definition, wide-angle web cam that gives buyers the ability to use Skype video chat on a HDTV. Weighing approximately 1.7 lbs and measuring 9.6 inches wide by 2.1 inches high by 2.8 inches deep, this Logitech HD web cam is equipped with Carl Zeiss optics, and it can support a high-definition resolution of 720p. When the optics in this device are combined with the Logitech Fluid Crystal technology, it delivers sharp, vibrant, distortion-free images. The Logitech TV Cam provides a clear, full room view with its built-in, wide-angle lens that ensures the whole family is in the call. This camera is also ready to use with any HDTV with an HDMI port. The buyer only needs to mount this wide-angle web cam on top of the TV, plug it in to the HDMI port, and connect it to the wireless home network, or wired system via an Ethernet link. It is then ready to go, provided the buyer already has an active Skype account. This Logitech HD web cam works like a regular phone. It rings even when the TV is off, and if no one is home, there is a built-in voicemail response. This device also has a dedicated power supply. The Logitech HD web cam also works in low light conditions and features a zoom option. In addition, it delivers quality audio regardless of the room size with its four built-in, noise canceling microphones.

    Logitech TV Skype Cam

    Image quality is touted to be 720p HD. I have quality upscaling on my Sony XBR55X850C Bravia 4K TV which makes 720p and 1080i HD cable TV look awesome. However, the full screen test image of yourself is OK but gravely blurred. On the TV of the recipient, it is like "low quality VHS". Only the small image of yourself in the lower right during conversation looks sharp. This is Ridiculous, Logitech. You're just a cheap and evil lier and thief just like the rest of corporate America! And now you're finished!

    Skype can no longer be used on this device

    Found out that Microsoft stopped Skype on this product a few years ago. I purchased this to Skype with my parents in Idaho, now I have a camera that can't be used.

    It does not get any better than this unit.

    Great little camera,to keep in touch with the overseas family. Very clear and simple to setup. Will be buying another to send to my mother in law and her oldest son in the Philippines. Best unit for this purpose and will see whole room full of relatives at one time. Remote is excellent with the zoom feature.

    No longer supported.

    Useless. Logitech no longer supports. Don't blame seller. He probably was unaware. Thought my old unit had died. Turned out Logitech just decided to walk away from customers. Now own two useless units.
