I would advise this unit for all non professional, close video work.
I boughtthe Azden to record small meetings and it worked very well with my Sony video camera, picking up audience participation and laughter with the speakers voice. I have since bought another to do interviews. It is all I need for a very inexpensive price. I received the units in only 10 days after ordering, I live in Australia and usual delivery is 3-4 weeks. Over all, im happy with this product
Ok first thing. It doesn not even come close to fitting the video camera it say that it does. First off i was pissed. Then i actually tried it out after i had to file down the plastic to make it fit. Its way off on the fit. When i tried the thing out i was blown away. The thing is worth every penny even with filing down the plastic to make it fit my camera. This thing works excellent and im more than pleased with this product. OVER ALL its worth the money and probably the best you can find for the money.Ok first thing. WORKS OK, AS AN EMERGENCY MIC
It works ok, as an emergency microphone. If you do profesional video recordings, do not get this mic. I have a $450 Senheiser mic set and needed an extra mic for a second person while shooting infomercials for a car dealership. First the Azden would give me a lot of signal noise if used on the preset F1 then I had to move it to preset F2 to get rid of noise. The problem with this mic is that picks up not only voice but all the background noise. Good thing that I recorded each mic in separate channels, but I had to spend a couple of hours cleaning the channel where the Azden had been recorded.It works ok, as an emergency microphone. Hissing buzzing Sound
Go buy the one that cost 600.00 this one is horrible. There is buzzing or hissing the whole time your talking. Its not easy to edit out either. I used it twice and I have it up for sale.

Great Beginner Wireless System
This is a relatively inexpensive, yet extensively effective little unit. It is VHF, so there is problematic frequency interference beyond 20 feet especially if the subject is moving. Also, there is no way to connect the receiver to an XLR input on a camera (unless you buy an adapter). However, both the hand-held mic and the lavaliere yield good audio. This is a great set for anyone doing primarily interviews and other video work as long as the camera and receiver aren't too far away from the subject.This is a relatively inexpensive, yet extensively effective little unit.
