Vierteilige Doppel-CD-Serie - umfassende und erste Label-übergreifende Dokumentation des einzigen relevanten deutschen Beitrags zum internationalen Phänomen Rockmusik. - Progressive Rock aus Deutschland! Nie zuvor gab es eine vergleichbare Zusammenstellung! - Gegen Ende der Sechzigerjahre begannen erste Versuche deutscher Bands, sich von den US-amerikanischen und britischen Vorbildern stilistisch zu emanzipieren. - ProgRock und Pchychedelia aus unseren Landen wurde international anfangs belächelt und u.a. von Kult-DeeJay John Peel abschätzig 'Krautrock' genannt. - Eigenwillige Formationen ließen sich nicht in Schubladen pressen, und so entstand eine Szene mit großer musikalischer Bandbreite. - Der vierte und abschließende Teil ist der Szene West-Berlins gewidmet und präsentiert u.a. populäre Bands wie Ash Ra Tempel, Locomotive Kreuzberg, Agitation Free, Dissidenten, Klaus Schulze und Tangerine Dream neben z.B. Karthago, Mythos, Emtidi, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Cluster, Harmonia oder Os Mundi. - Zumeist von digitalen Bandkopien von Marcus Heumann neu gemastert, ohne den ursprünglichen Sound zu verwaschen. - Zusammengestellt und auf 100(!) Seiten von Burghard Rausch (DeeJay, Vinylsammler, Schlagzeuger, Rundfunkmoderator/-autor und Buchherausgeber) kommentiert.
