    Nice adjunct to camping tools or for around the house.

    This is a well made example of a type of hatchet advocated by certain well known outdoorsmen of the past. It is small but fully functional for its intended purpose, which along with a small saw, maybe of the folding variety, is fully capable of sustaining you on your backpacking or camping adventures. Probably would see extensive use around the yard for general yard/garden maintenance. All you need to do is provide a heavy single coat of boiled linseed oil to the handle, and a belt sheath would be nice for the head. In case of lack of appropriate sheath you might use masking tape on the sharpened edges to preclude injury or unwanted cutting of other gear during transport. Great price, great product. Thank you.

    Cool little axe

    Great value, decent steel. People say they break the handles, I think it’s because they miss use the tool for its intended use. You must also put your own grind on it, which is a good thing.

    Excellent pocket hatchet

    Good steel that holds a sharp edge, excellent finished handle, a great lightweight hatchet. Fits in my day pack and was easy to make a sheath for, which is not included. It is a cute little chopper, is fun to use, and makes a great conversation piece.

    Depends on what you want it for

    I made a new Handel to match my tomahawk an extra 4" I felled two 3"sumac trees i had more glancing blows into the dirt. To me the edge is for splitting kindling not falling it probably throws well it has a nice balance I'm going to re profile the one edge
