    Couplings and recouplings

    The plot of this movie would lead one to believe that the folks of Dublin are on a constant carousel of couplings and re-couplings, or at least the pursuit thereof. While I do not have first-hand knowledge of whether or not this is indeed true, I can say that there is fun to be had in watching the connecting and misconnecting of this array of mostly appealing characters, with a few surprises thrown into the mix. Their boundaries seem remarkably fluid, and in the end there is a bit of optimism that maybe love really does conquer all. (Great soundtrack, too!)
