I might add that I was a bit disappointed that this device is not wired to the accepted international standard, hence the need for the adapter fortunately included. Maybe a production mistake,IDK.But the 12v SAE standard is,power source connector ALWAYS has the female on the (+)positive wire & male connector on (-)negative wire,this prevents accidental short when not connected.Device receiving power is opposite,only need for adapter is both powered(charging)
