Product was 3D printed plastic so not as strong or as flexible as metal but could be easily cut with a pair or electrical pliers or a modelling knife. Fitting was a little fiddly as expected and what I should have done, but didn't, was take my time and get it exactly right rather than good enough. Definitely recommend to cover that hole if you don't have the I/O plate for your motherboard and I will be ordering at least one more in the future for just that reason.
