Wish it would've shipped in a bubble envelope instead of a paper one, but it arrived as described at a very low price, so I can't really complain. A+ Seller. Cheers!

    Perfect! It tells it all.

The "Final Season" is one of the best sports films ever made. I have watched it many times and have enjoyed it every time. This purchase was for my son who also absolutely loves the movie and is a big fan of Sean Astin. Thank you very much for making this purchase possible.

  • Teamwork counts! Love the message of movie.

This movie displayed excellent baseball action, which I love. It was a great "teamwork" movie. I am passing it on to my grandson who has just started playing. Also got him a Red Sox "World Series Champions" T shirt since we have a Red Sox player from right here in our fair city who is somewhat a celebrity here, community involved, and comes from a Christian family. I also like Sean Astin (from "Rudy" and "Lord of the Rings") who is the son of Patty Duke (played Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker"--fabulous!) and John Astin of "The Addams Family".

  • There must be something about Iowa and baseball.

I initially checked this movie out of our local library and after doing so on three occasions I decided to add it to my permanent collection. The Final Season is a wonderful story about small town baseball in Norway, Iowa and the final season before their tiny school in consolidated. After years of consistently beating much larger schools on the diamond and winning state championships, the end is about to come for this small Iowa community. Based on a true story, I now feel the urge to travel to Norway, Iowa, much like I did (and have)to Dyersville, Iowa after watching Field of Dreams. A movie that's about baseball the way it's suppose to be played.

  • Great film, a MUST SEE!

I went to this movie in the theatre, then rented it when it was available on DVD. That wasn't enough for me, I had to own it for myself. It ia a true story about a small community loosing it's school due to the state's financial concerns, and merging with a neighboring town. This is not at all uncommon in midwest areas. I live about 50 miles from this town, and I remember this situation as it played out. I am a huge sports enthusiast anyway, but this film had a lot of heart, and really hits those of us who have ever been affected the same way in a similar situation. This community literally lived for their baseball team and to take their school away, was not only devastating to their teams but to their community's economic structure as well. This town fought to keep their school, their ...

  • Great Baseball Movie

I'm a huge baseball fan and collect any baseball movie that comes out. I've watched this movie a couple times. As a "true story", it does have some suspense, humor and plenty of baseball action. This flick won't (or didn't) win any Academy Awards, but if you love baseball, I recommend it highly. The acting is good and the storyline is interesting. Not the best sports movie ever made, but once again, if you love baseball (especially high school or youth) you'll enjoy the movie.
