I heard in the past you can use one of these to bypass speed restrictions on smart devices such as Smart TVs. The smart TVs sometimes have a governor on the Ethernet connection to limit speed. Say you’re paying for 300 but Speedtest says it’s only getting 150 download. Connect to one of the Smart TVs USB ports and run Speedtest again and see what you get.
